Tail Lamp Assembly, Driver Side

Start by removing screws that lock the tail/back up lamp assembly to the rear fascia surface before you remove the lamp to expose the tail and back up lamp sockets. Initiate socket detachment from the lamp assembly through counterclockwise rotation to release the locking tabs and extract the bulbs (when needed) from the sockets. Begin by inserting new bulbs into the lamp sockets and return the sockets to the lamp assembly through a clockwise rotation until the locking mechanism engages. Place the tail/back up lamp assembly onto the rear fascia before installing the screws while tightening retaining screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in).

Europeans must first remove the tail and back up lamp assembly screws on the rear fascia before extracting the lamp to gain access to the sockets for repair or bulb replacement. After unlocking the tabs through counter-clockwise socket rotation you can remove the sockets from the light assembly. Bulb replacement requires users to remove bulbs directly from their sockets. Position the new bulbs into each lamp socket before putting these sockets back into the assembly by rotating them clockwise to activate the locking tabs. Position the tail/back up lamp assembly onto the rear fascia after which secure it by screw installation. The tail/back up lamp retaining screws should be tightened to 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque value.

To replace the tail lamp, remove the screws that hold tail lamp assembly to the rear fascia (it holds them in place) then remove the tail lamp from the fascia to get to the tail lamp socket. Next, take out the socket from the lamp assembly and, if need be, the bulb from the socket. Then take the tail lamp out of the vehicle. For installation, in case of changing the bulb, install the bulb into the tail lamp socket, then connect the socket to the tail lamp assembly. Reposition the tail lamp assembly back onto the rear fascia and fasten it by mounting the screws. Check the tail lamp retaining screws are 2 n.m (18 lb in). Observe the vitality of adhering to the fastener notice in service precautions.

Install the new bulb(s) into the lamp socket(s) if applicable.

Attach the socket back to the tail lamp assembly.

Remove the bulb(s) from the socket(s).

Begin by removing the screws that secure the tail/turn signal lamp assembly to the rear fascia.

Take the lamp out to access the tail and turn signal lamp sockets.

Remove the socket from the lamp assembly.
