2000 Chevrolet K3500 Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace a Brake Master Cylinder with a Hydraulic Booster on 2000 Chevrolet K3500?
A: Start work by applying the park brake and disconnecting the brake pipes from both sides as you plug them to keep brake fluid safe. Take out the master cylinder nuts then detach its bracket and master cylinder from the assembly. Prepare the brake system outside the vehicle by opening the master cylinder and draining residual fluid. Set the master cylinder in place with the bracket and insert the master cylinder nuts. Torque them to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Use the connected brake pipes and tighten all fitting connections until they reach 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs. of torque). Once done pressurize the brakes and free the parking brake.
