How to replace the brake master cylinder (Vacuum Booster) on GMC C3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
There are crucial steps to replace the Brake Master Cylinder (Vacuum Booster). Apply the parking brake and disconnect brake pipes using plugs to control fluid loss during replacement. First take out the master cylinder nuts then detach the bracket and master cylinder assembly. Perform master cylinder bleeding before putting it into position. Drill the holes on the master cylinder and bracket before installing both parts. After securing the master cylinder bracket to its position follow service precautions to tighten the master cylinder nuts to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs). Install the brake pipes between components and wrench the fittings evenly to 18 ft. Lbs. (24 Nm). Complete the process by draining air from the brakes and unlocking the parking brake.
