  A: To service and repair the Harmonic Balancer, start with collecting all the tools that are needed: Harmonic Balancer puller (J24420-C) and Harmonic Balancer installer (J29113). First, eliminate the Drive Belt and afterwards lift and appropriately support the vehicle. Next, remove the right front tire and wheel as well as the right engine splash shield. Loosen both the right and the left frame bolts to lower the frame and provide access to the Harmonic Balancer bolt that can be removed using the Harmonic Balancer puller (J24420-C). If, after taking out the Harmonic Balancer bolt and washer, you move forward to take out the Harmonic Balancer using the same tool. For installation, apply gm p/n 12345739 or equivalent to the keyway of balancer and install Harmonic Balancer using the Harmonic Balancer installer (J29113) and remove the installer afterwards. Fix the Harmonic Balancer washer and bolt, making the bolt to 103 nm (76 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, tighten the frame bolts, reinstall the right engine splash shield, the right front tire and wheel, lower the vehicle, and install the Drive Belt.
