Start the p/s return line replacement by taking off the accessory Drive Belt which requires a drain pan positioned under the vehicle to catch power steering fluid. Remove the power steering return hose from the Power Steering Pump by detaching it at its location while also separating the power steering return line from the power steering lines retainer. The task begins with raising and supporting the vehicle while the technician removes the power steering return hose from the power steering gear cooler pipe. Begin the installation by attaching the power steering return hose to the power steering gear cooler pipe followed by draining the pan then lowering the vehicle down. The power steering return line installation should be directed towards the power steering lines retainer before fixing the power steering return hose to the Power Steering Pump. Finish the replacement by installing the accessory Drive Belt followed by filling the power steering fluid reservoir after bleeding the system before performing a leak inspection.
