How to replace the pressure power steering hose on 2000 Chevrolet Malibu?

The first step to replace the p/s pressure hose starts with belt removal from the vehicle. Begin the process by removing the Power Steering Hose retainer nut attached to the retainer then disconnect the pressure hose from the Power Steering Pump. Run the vehicle on a hoist after which you must remove the pressure hose from its connections between the retainer and power steering gear . Secure the new pressure hose properly in place to the power steering gear by fastening it with 27 nm using a torque wrench. Lower the vehicle before installing the pressure hose to the retainer. Secure the Power Steering Pump pressure hose with a torque of 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Secure the Power Steering Hose retainer by tightening its nut to 5 nm (45 inch lbs.). Implement a proper clearance check of the Power Steering Hose towards the exhaust manifold before putting on the Drive Belt to the Power Steering Pump pulley. End the air bleeding process for the power steering system.
