How to Replace the Center Console on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

To replace your front floor console in a Monte Carlo, you should start by removing the trim plate from the front floor console. Remove the wiring harness connector and retainer, open consol storage compartment and remove storage compartment mat. Next, remove the bolts that protrude into the bottom of the storage compartment and the console bolts that are on the right of the shift control lever before removing the front floor. For installation, re-install the front floor console into place while the console bolts should be installed forward of the shift control lever and installed to the bottom of the storage bin while torquing them down to 12 Nm (106 lb in). The console storage compartment should be closed back up, the wiring harness connector and retainer should be connected, and the front floor console trim plate should be put in place.
