How to service and repair the wiper motor on 2000 Chevrolet Prizm?

To service or fix the wiper motor start by disconnecting its electrical connector and taking out the four bolts that secure it to the bulkhead. Clip the wiper transmission claw to the bulkhead without working on individual pieces of the wiper motor crank arm or detaching it from the wiper motor to let the wipers return to their natural position. Discard the wiper transmission from its connection to both the wiper motor and arm before removing the wiper motor unit. Fit the windshield wiper transmission to the wiper motor crank arm before installing the wiper motor to the bulkhead bolts and tightening them to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in). Join the wiper motor electrical wire back at its original connection point.
