Install the battery positive cable in its original position according to the rwd and a4wd specification. A proper installation method is to secure the solenoid battery terminal inner nut first before attaching battery cables and other leads to protect both components. First connect the Starter Solenoid with the battery positive cable through nut tension set to 9 n.m (80 lb in) followed by attachment of the other positive cable lead to the underhood electrical center and tightening its nut to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The battery positive terminal bolt requires tightening to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) before attachment onto the battery.
