The oil pressure switch repair process requires tool J 41712 (Oil Pressure Switch Socket) according to the maintenance procedure. Start the service by removing engine cover followed by disconnecting the engine oil pressure switch electrical connector. The engine oil pressure switch fitting requires holding with a wrench so you can safely remove the switch with tool J 41712. Check the orientation of the switch fitting before removing it then take the fitting off if needed. During installation, reconnect any removed engine oil pressure switch fittings and apply torque to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) while keeping total turn count under two to achieve proper alignment. After installing the engine oil pressure switch maintain fitting stability by using a wrench to stop rotation before using J 41712 to achieve a torque value of 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Reinstall both the engine cover and reconnect the engine oil pressure switch electrical connector.
