How to Replace an Alternator Bracket on an Auxiliary Generator on 2000 GMC Savana 3500?

The first step for replacing an auxiliary generator brace requires removal of the serpentine belt along with removal of the mounting bolts from the brace before completely removing the brace unit from the vehicle. The idler pulley must be removed in case it becomes necessary. The first step of installation includes putting back the idler pulley before proceeding to connect the brace to the vehicle. Use the mounting bolts to install them onto the brace while tightening the long bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) and the short bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The installation of the serpentine belt onto the engine completes the procedure.
