To change the Engine Mount one must begin by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery. First lift the vehicle then remove both Engine Mount through-bolt and nut from the side which will receive replacement. Use a jack on the square tab at the rear of the engine block for lifting yet avoid contacting the Oil Pan and sheet metal and Crankshaft Pulley since these could suffer damage. The bolts connecting the frame side mount must be extracted before removing the frame side mount alone. Secondly remove the engine side mount bolts before removing its components as well as the shield.
