Take off the inlet hose using the spring hose clamp pliers (J 38185) by loosening and sliding the inlet Radiator Hose clamp at the Thermostat Housing. Next, after turning the bolts and backing off the Thermostat Housing , disconnect and be sure to use the tool that the manufacturer equipped, to remove the Thermostat Housing, Thermostat. Clean the gasket mating surfaces, the housing, and the intake port. The Thermostat is installed first, followed by the Thermostat Housing with a new gasket . Thread on Thermostat Housing bolts and tighten to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, replace the inlet Radiator Hose and clamp, fill in the cooling system and replace the cover of the engine.
