How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on 2001 Buick Park Avenue?

People must remove the back up lamp assembly to replace the rear compartment lock cylinder. Start by removing the rear compartment lid trim part. Unscrew the three nuts holding the lock cylinder at the lid and lift the cylinder out from its position. Position the lock cylinder on the lid while paying attention to the fastener instructions. Fasten the three locking nuts in place and tighten them to 9 n.m (80 lb in) to lock the lock cylinder into the lid. Reposition both parts of the back up lamp assembly and rear compartment lid trim.
