Start by taking out the back up lamp assembly and rear compartment lid trim to reach the lock cylinder. Unthread the three nuts keeping the lock cylinder to the lid before taking off the cylinder. You should place the lock cylinder onto the lid and fasten it with three nuts until they reach a torque level of 9 n.m. Reinsert both the rear compartment lid trim and back up lamp assembly pieces last.
