How to service and repair the headlamp dimmer switch on 2001 Buick Regal?

In order to replace the headlamp dimmer switch, be sure that the lever is at the OFF position and unplug the negative battery cable. Turn off the SIR system, unscrew the steering wheel and the trim covers and unscrew the wire harness. Take out the multifunction switch assembly, re install it and reconnect everything. And lastly, make the SIR system and reattach the battery cable.
