Switch off once more the sir system and additionally delete the inflator module and the Steering Wheel. Next, pull-off the sir coil from the steering column upper shaft letting it hang. Take out the wave washer from the Steering Shaft , then squeeze the shaft lock plate with the use of lock plate compressor (J 23653-SIR) and lock plate compressor adapter (J 42137). After that take away the bearing retainer, then the lock plate compressor (J 23653-SIR) and lock plate compressor adapter(J 42137) should be taken away from the Steering Shaft. Proceed to extract shaft lock shield, turn signal cancel cam, upper bearing spring, upper bearing inner race seat, and inner race from the Steering Shaft. For installation, lubricate the inner race with synthetic grease and install it to the Steering Shaft, followed by upper bearing inner race seat, upper bearing spring and lubricated turn signal, cancel cam. Install shaft lock shield using the lock plate compressor (J 23653-SIR) and lock plate compressor adapter (J 42137) and compress the same. Mount the new bearing retainer and make sure that it is snugly seated in the groove on the Steering Shaft.
