How to Replace a Front Door Window Regulator (Manual) on 2001 Buick Regal?

The replacement of front door window regulators begins by detaching the front door water deflector followed by removing the front door window. The second step involves taking out the arm rest bracket. The key slots designed into the inner panel of the door prevent Window Regulator screws from coming out fully so removal is not required. Drivers should loosen the screws holding the front door Window Regulator but keep the left lower screw from the rail attached while they remove the front door Window Regulator. Insert the motor for the front door Window Regulator through the door opening to gain access to the electrical connector before disconnecting it. Take the front door Window Regulator out of the door assembly after disconnecting its electrical connector. Position the new front door Window Regulator inside its installation space and join the motor electrical connection. Fasten the motor into inner door panel key slots before installing the Window Regulator rail assembly into corresponding slots. Fasten the left lower mounting screw with a torque of 10 n.m before tightening it to 89 lb in. Final tightening must be at 10 n.m (89 lb in) after manually tightening all screws at their proper sequence that starts with lower rear and ends with upper front. Installation of the front door window followed by arm rest bracket and front door water deflector will finish this procedure.
