Buick Regal Window Regulator Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Replace a Front Door Window Regulator (Manual) on Buick Regal?
A: One must begin by removing the front door water deflector before extracting the front door window for regulator replacement. You should now remove the arm rest bracket from the list of steps. Removing the Window Regulator screws in their entirety is not essential because they already fit into specific key slots in the inner door panel. Begin by freeing the front door Window Regulator bolts but maintain the left lower screw securing the front door Window Regulator rail. The procedure for accessing the front door Window Regulator motor requires lowering it into the door to reach its electrical connector which needs to be disconnected. Move the front door Window Regulator out of the door opening after disconnecting its electrical connector. Position the new front door Window Regulator within the door opening where it meets with the motor electrical connector. The Window Regulator rail assembly should be placed into key slots after installing the motor into slots within the inner door panel. Mount the left lower screw until it reaches 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. The proper orientation of components depends on your implementation of the assembly sequence starting with the lower rear screw then moving to the upper rear screw and lower front screw before finishing with the upper front screw and hand tightening all remaining screws until they reach 10 n.m (89 lb in). The last step is to reinsert both the front door window together with the arm rest bracket and front door water deflector.
