A flat tool should be used to push forward while breaking the retainer before using a lifting motion to remove the switch plate from the door trim panel. A small flat bladed tool should be used to separate the side snap walls from the switch plate before disconnecting electrical connectors then extracting the needed switch. To install the switch, place it within the switch plate before connecting electrical connectors and returning the switch plate to its position inside the door trim panel. Pressing down even pressure on the front switch plate area while engaging its panel portion activates the retainer.
