How to replace the coolant reservoir inlet pipe on 2001 Cadillac Eldorado?

When replacing the surge tank inlet pipe, start with the removal of the fuel injector sight shield and selective draining of the engine coolant. Unplug the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank and engine as well as PCV fresh air tube. Remove the two push nuts which hold the pipe to the engine and unbolt the vehicle's surge tank inlet hose/pipe. For installation, you would place the surge tank inlet hose/pipe assembly into the vehicle again and tight it with two push nuts. Reconnect the surge tank inlet hose to the engine, and reinstall the fresh air pcv tube, surge tank inlet hose back to surge tank. Finally, refill the cooling system and replace fuel injector sight shield.
