How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2001 Chevrolet Express 3500?

In order to change the stoplamp switch, remove the battery negative cable and the electrical connector of the switch. Take out the retainer in the brake pedal pin and remove the switch which has the pushrod. To install, slip the switch onto the pushrod and re-install it, reconnect the electrical connector and reconnect the battery cable to install.
