To replace the stop lamp switch, you will first disconnect the battery negative cable. Now, remove the electrical connector from stop lamp switch and haul out the retainer pin from the brake pedal. Then remove the stop lamp switch and the Pushrod to the power Brake Booster from the brake pedal pin and unsnap the stop lamp switch from the push rod to the power Brake Booster. For the installation, snap the stop lamp switch onto the power Brake Booster Pushrod and install the stop lamp switch on the brake pedal pin with the Pushrod and hold it in its place using the brake switch retainer. After that connect the electrical connector to stop lamp switch then reconnected the battery negative cable too.

You need to take off the retainer from the brake pedal pin before unplugging the electrical connector from the stoplamp switch. Remove both the stoplamp switch and Pushrod from power Brake Booster to brake pedal pin before unsnapping them. To mount the stoplamp switch fit it directly onto the Pushrod out to the power Brake Booster then install both parts onto the brake pedal pin. Put on the stoplamp switch electrical connector and return the battery terminal into place.
