  A: Rear suspension strut servicing requires first opening the liftgate of two-door models or accessing the rear compartment lid on four-door models. A two-door model requires removal of the strut tower trim for access so position the rear seat back toward the front. The rear compartment side trim must be repositioned on four-door models to reveal the strut nuts. Vehicle elevation supports access to both the upper and lower parts of the strut before moving forward with tire and wheel assembly removal. Lower the rear suspension with a floor jack so you can remove both the bolt connecting the strut to knuckle and the pair of nuts securing the strut.
