  A: Start the MAF Sensor replacement by turning OFF the ignition system then disconnecting the MAF sensor harness connector. Handle the MAF sensor gently to prevent drops which may result in damage to the device while also maintaining the air inlet end screen undamaged and keeping away from sensor elements. Handle the sensing elements carefully while keeping solvents and lubricants separate and use only a drop of soap solution to help mounting the sensor. To begin the installation, loosen the hose clamp of the air cleaner outlet duct from the MAF sensor. Then disconnect the air cleaner cover from the front of the MAF sensor by loosening the hose clamp. Install the MAF sensor so that its flow arrows are directed away from the air cleaner. Tighten the hose clamp on the MAF sensor at 4 N.m (35 lb in) to secure it to the air cleaner cover before connecting the air cleaner outlet duct to the MAF sensor by clamping it to 4 N.m (35 lb in). Complete the installation by fastening the air cleaner retainer clips but always remember to reconnect the MAF harness connector.
