How to replace the pitman arm on 2001 GMC Savana 1500?

In order to remove the pitman arm, lift the vehicle and place it on safety supports. Do not pickle the ball stud with a pickle fork. Take the connecting rod nut and separate it with a puller and mark it. Wipe, wash, and fit the new pitman arm, and align correctly.
