How to replace the Power Steering Hose Outlet on 2001 GMC Savana 1500?

The first step to replace the power steering gear outlet hose is to install a drain pan underneath the vehicle to remove power steering fluid from the reservoir. Pull the power steering outlet hose away from the steering pump while simultaneously removing the steering gear outlet hose from the steering gear . Then extract the hose from outside of the car. Follow the hose installation path from before removal while securing the hose into a route with no kinks or sharp bends. Connect the steering gear outlet hose to the steering gear while torquing the hose connection to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). You must install the power steering outlet hose onto the steering pump while also verifying the power steering fluid level. Thoroughly drain the fluid from the pan beneath the vehicle before continuing with power steering system bleeding.
