    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose Inlet on GMC Savana 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Draining of power steering fluid into a pan beneath the vehicle should occur prior to replacing the power steering gear inlet hose. Take the power steering inlet hose from steering pump while removing steering gear inlet hose from steering gear prior to removing the hose from the vehicle. During installation route the hose in exactly the same position where it used to be before removal while maintaining a straight path between connection points to manipulate sharp bends and kinks. Place the steering gear inlet hose onto the steering gear before tightening its fitting to reach 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Beginning the installation starts with fitting the power steering inlet hose to the steering pump port while tightening the hose fitting to 27 nm torque value (20 ft. Lbs.). Bleed the power steering system after installation when you check the power steering fluid level and remove the pan placed below the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose on a 4.3L engine on GMC Savana 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
A 4.3L engine replacement of Power Steering Cooler Pipe Hose starts by preparing to collect draining fluid from the connections. The first step involves disconnecting (4,5) power steering hose connections and using caps to seal power steering hoses and cooler ends from dirt particles. The power steering pipe connections need to be disconnected followed by securing caps on power steering pipes and cooler ends. First disconnect the bolts and extract the cooler from its vehicle position. Set the cooler in its proper position on the vehicle and install the bolts while tightening them to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.). The next procedure requires installation of power steering hose 4,5 connections before installing power steering pipe connections. The power steering system needs power steering fluid then a bleeding procedure should happen to confirm correct system operation.
