How to replace the heater core in the auxiliary HVAC module on 2001 GMC Yukon XL 1500?

In order to install a replacement of the heater core in the auxiliary HVAC module, drain the engine coolant and retrieve the refrigerant. Disconnect the air conditioning and heater line, disconnect the module, and the air temperature actuator. Install a new heater core, re-assemble the module, and re-connect all the parts and then drop the vehicle and refill fluids.
