How to service the camshaft position sensor on 2002 Buick Century?

Service of the Camshaft Position Sensor requires the Power Steering Pump removal along with disconnecting the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector. First detach the cmp sensor bolt while extracting the cmp sensor from its place. To continue with the sensor you should analyze the sensor o-ring for damage including wear and leakage. When installing the o-ring undergo cleaning with engine oil and change it when damage is present. Connect the cmp Camshaft Position Sensor after you install it while following the fastener notice in service precautions and tighten the cmp sensor bolt to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Reinstall the Power Steering Pump after reconnecting the cmp sensor electrical connector.
