The check arm installation requires insertion into the door followed by passing check arm studs through the access holes of the door inner panel before tightening check arm to door fasteners at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Fasten the check arm to the door hinge pillar fasteners before tightening them to 9 N.m (80 lb in). You should begin by reconnecting the close-out grommet before putting back the water deflector.
