You need to remove the retaining screws from the hvac control assembly before you can gently extract it from the ip. Before removing the hvac control assembly users must disconnect all electrical connectors as well as vacuum harnesses where present. When installing the hvac control assembly reconnect your electrical connectors and vacuum harness if equipped before reinstalling it inside the ip. Secure the hvac control assembly with retaining screws set to 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque before reinstalling the accessory trim plate and front floor console.
