You should begin service on the fuel level sensor by removing the fuel sender assembly while detracting the fuel pump electrical connector. Secondly separate the retaining clip that protects the fuel level sensor electrical connector before disconnecting this component beneath the fuel sender cover. Insert the fingers under the fuel level sensor retaining clip to remove it. While squeezing the locking tangs you can extract the sensor. Start the installation by putting the fuel level sensor into its proper position and fastening it with the retaining clip. First install the retaining clip of the fuel level sensor electrical connector and hook up its connector before connecting the fuel pump electrical connector. The procedure ends with reinstallation of the fuel sender assembly.
