Next remove the fuel level sensor retaining clip after compressing the locking tangs before pulling out the sensor. Start by putting in the fuel level sensor along with its retaining clip while you next join the fuel level sensor electrical connector before tightening it with the retaining clip. Reinstall the fuel sender assembly followed by connecting the fuel pump electrical connector as the final step. The work area requires forced air ventilation to reduce fuel vapor hazard while you must fill up all fuel system openings and instantly clean spills along with preventing sparks and clearly showing warning signs to staff.
