Engine oil pressure sensor replacement requires removal of the shield's heat shield nut before moving forward to the sensor and switch. First disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector then remove the engine oil pressure sensor. When installing this component make sure to place the engine oil pressure sensor in position before tightening to a torque value of 16 Nm (12 lb ft). Install the engine oil pressure sensor heat shield before connecting its electrical connector. Install the nut and secure it to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Begin by taking out the oil filter adapter before you can replace the engine oil pressure sensor or switch. Extract the engine oil pressure switch from its mount position on the oil filter adapter. When installing the sensor replace it with the engine oil pressure switch back onto the oil filter adapter then secure it with 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Once done replace the oil filter adapter. Put the vehicle into its lowest position before you set the engine oil to reach the entire mark. The engine inspection for leakage should begin after starting the vehicle.

To service the oil pressure switch, initial 1, raise and support the vehicle. Unplug the electrical connector from the oil pressure sender and take off the oil pressure sender from the oil filter adapter. During an installation, you should install the oil pressure sender to the oil filter adapter and tighten it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Next, connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sender, lower the vehicle and check the oil, switch the engine on to observe oil leaks.

The first step for engine oil pressure sensor or switch replacement starts with raising the vehicle then supporting it. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure switch and pull the oil pressure switch out of the oil filter adapter housing . You must install the oil pressure switch onto the oil filter adapter while making sure to tighten it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft) following Component Fastener Tightening Notice instructions. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure switch before lowering the vehicle and checking the engine oil level while adding oil if needed. To complete the task turn the power on while inspecting for any fluid leakage.

You need to raise the vehicle for sensor and switch replacement work on the engine oil pressure system. The electrical connector of the engine oil pressure switch requires unhooking before the switch can be removed from the oil filter adapter. When installing the engine oil pressure switch onto the oil filter adapter it should receive a torque specification of 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch before lowering the vehicle. Adjust the engine oil to the full mark level and tighten the pressure switch to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.). Bleeding and leak tests should take place following the engine startup.

Lower the vehicle.

Reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor.

Follow the fastener notice and tighten the engine oil pressure sensor to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).

Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.

Lower the vehicle and adjust the engine oil level to the full mark.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure switch and remove the oil pressure switch from the oil filter adapter housing.

Raise and support the vehicle.

First, remove the oil filter adapter.

Install the oil pressure switch to the oil filter adapter and tighten it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

Install the oil pressure switch to the oil filter adapter and tighten it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure switch and remove the oil pressure switch from the oil filter adapter.

Ensure to tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) when installing it back onto the oil filter adapter.
