First, attach the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod without making the jam nut tight, and then attach the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle. Put on the outer tie rod retaining nut and tighten it to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Be certain that the Rack and Pinion Boot stays flat and in good shape during the toe adjustment, and only then install the tire and wheel, lower the vehicle, and set the toe alignment.
