How to replace the thermostat on 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

In order to change the thermostat, drain the cooling system first. Unscrew the inlet hose, water outlet bolts and remove the water outlet and the thermostat. Install the new thermostat and water outlet making sure to install the fasteners. Take the inlet hose and fill up the cooling system.
