2002 Chevrolet Camaro Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the ignition coil on 2002 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: The first step for coil repair starts with removing the Spark Plug Wires from their position on the coil assemblies. The Ignition Coil assemblies must be unfastened by removing six screws from the installation to the control module. Following this step remove Ignition Control Module coils. Follow fastener notice in service precautions when attaching coils to the Ignition Control Module for installation. Use a torque wrench to attach the 6 Ignition Coil screws at 4.5 n.m (40 lb in) tightness. Reconnect all Spark Plug Wires after finishing the installation.
