  • Q: How to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on 2002 Chevrolet Corvette?
    A: Firstly, disconnect the negative Battery Cable. Its allowedftng to remove the left i/ p lower insulator panel, the Clutch Master Cylinder rod retainer, and the Clutch Master Cylinder rod on the clutch accelerator. Next, take out the windshield washer solvent container and lift the vehicle to the deserving height. Remove the hose from the hose retaining clip near to the rear of the engine. Lower the white circular release ring on the actuator hose with the hydraulic clutch line separator (J 36221) and carefully pull away the master cylinder hose while protecting both hose coupling ends from dirt and damage. Lower the car down, yet maintaining it on the hoist, and remove the Clutch Master Cylinder reservoir push-in fasteners. Twist the Clutch Master Cylinder to the left by 4.5 degrees to detach it from the dash panel and take it out as well as reservoir from the vehicle. For installation, align the Clutch Master Cylinder and reservoir, rotate the master cylinder at a 45-degree angle and place it into dash panel, rotating it clockwise for fixation without over-rotation. You reinstall the reservoir for the master clutch cylinder, then fasten it in with push-in fasteners, followed by a windshield washer solvent container. Take the vehicle up again and attach the clutch actuator cylinder hose to the Clutch Master Cylinder hose ensuring that the quick connect fittings are engaged properly. Check hydraulic hoses of clutch for twists and kinks and reinstall clutch actuator cylinder hose to hose retaining clip on the back of the engine. Lower the vehicle, have the Clutch Master Cylinder on the clutch pedal, and lock it with the rod retainer. Reconnect the left i/p lower insulator panel and connect the negative terminal Battery Cable, tightening the bolt 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Finally, fix transmitters and bleed chill hydraulic system.
