How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Start replacement of the stoplamp switch by disconnecting the negative battery terminal then the electrical connector at that part. Unscrew the components from their positions one by one: remove the retainer from the brake pedal pin first, then take out the stoplamp switch and the Pushrod to the power Brake Booster from the brake pedal pin. Pull the stoplamp switch off from its attachment on the brake boosters' pushrod. Press the stoplamp button onto the Pushrod that connects to the power Brake Booster, then mount the stoplamp switch with its Pushrod connected to the brake pedal pin. After connecting the electrical connector to the stoplamp switch insert the battery negative cable again.
