How to replace the Brake Light Switch on Chevrolet Express 2500?

You can start switch replacement by detaching both the battery negative cable and electrical connector from the stop lamp switch. Pull the brake pedal pin retainer and slide out both the stop lamp switch and its Pushrod assembly from the brake pedal pin. Detach the stop lamp switch from its position on the power Brake Booster Pushrod. Install the stop lamp switch onto the power Brake Booster Pushrod then put it on the brake pedal pins with the Pushrod attached before fixing it into place using the brake switch retainer. Reattach the electrical wire to the stop lamp switch before closing the power connection.
