How to remove and install the rear car speakers on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

Removing the rear speaker begins with removing the rear window trim panel before unscrewing the screws on the rear speaker which allows its removal from the rear package shelf. At this point disconnect the electrical connector which is attached to the speaker. Before attachment, connect the electrical connector to the speaker then reinstall the speaker into the package shelf following Fastener instructions in Service Precautions. Secure the speaker screws to the rear speaker while applying 3 N.m (27 lb in) torque to each one before putting back the rear window trim shelf.
