Next, remove the filter (100) and the lip ring seal (101) pressed into the case only if replacement is required. Examine the Oil Pan and the filter for any foreign material including metal particles, clutch facing material, rubber particles and engine coolant. If any contamination is detected, find and rectify its cause. For installation, if the seal (101) was removed, add a new one and proceed with the filter (100). Lastly, mount the gasket and the Oil Pan .
