Move forward by removing the left brake shoes and then taking out the 2 bolts along with the left rear cable from the left rear backing plate. Detach the intermediate pipe while you simultaneously uninstall the catalytic converter heat shields. The next step involves detaching the retainer together with 2 clamps and the left rear cable from the equalizer. The next step requires removal of the retainer together with the 3 bolts (5,6,10) and 2 clamps (4,7) and the left rear cable . To install attach the 2 clamps (4,7) and the retainer to the left rear park brake cable. Position these components correctly on the equalizer and maintain the cable on its right side. The remaining 3 bolts (5,6,10) should be installed to retain the park brake cable in its position with a torque of 5.4 nm (48 inch lbs.).
