How to replace the negative battery cable on 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

In order to replace the battery negative cable, one should first disconnect the battery negative cable. Unbolt the harness from the from the front wheelhouse panel and the bolt that secures the harness to the shock tower. Next, remove the harness bolt from the engine harness bracket and remove the harness accordingly from the engine block. When installing, don't tap the negative battery cable to the battery while installing the engine harness ground terminal to the engine block and before connecting back the instrument panel harness and the engine harness onto the powertrain control module. Tie the harness to the engine harness bracket, install the bolt that will be keeping the harness on the shock tower (to a torque of 10N.m (89lb in). Next, install the bolt and fix the harness to the engine block and tighten it to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). Finally, install the bolt that fastens the harness t the-wheelhouse-panel, tighten to lock to 10 N.m (89 lb in) before connecting the negative battery cable to the battery.
