2002 Chevrolet Venture Steering Knuckle Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the steering knuckle on 2002 Chevrolet Venture?
A: Steering Knuckle replacement begins with vehicle elevation and appropriate support system application. First remove the tire assembly along with wheel then remove the front wheel drive shaft bearing. The universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B) helps remove the front lower control arm ball stud and the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle. First mark the stru connection on the knuckle before you disconnect the knuckle bolts to take out the component from the vehicle. Position the knuckle back onto the vehicle before tightening the bolts which join the knuckle to the strut at 123 nm (90 ft. Lbs.). Begin installation by placing the front lower control arm ball stud into the knuckle followed by reinstalling the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle then reinstalling the front wheel drive shaft bearing. After completion the tire and wheel assembly should be restored to its position and the car lowered back to the ground.
