  A: Maintaining Ignition Coil function requires initial removal of the engine cover as well as detachments of electrical connectors and Ignition Coil wire from the Distributor. Start by removing the bracket securing studs which attach the Ignition Coil to the Intake Manifold before you pull the bracket and Ignition Coil off. Remove the Ignition Coil from the bracket by drilling out and punching out the two bracket rivets that secure the coil to its place. The provided 2 screws in the replacement Ignition Coil kit must be used to mount the Ignition Coil on the bracket while following the fastener notice in service precautions. Use the studs to fasten the bracket and Ignition Coil onto the Intake Manifold at 11 n.m (97 lb in) torque. Reconnect the Ignition Coil wire while keeping it far from the dip stick to avoid repeated grounding through contact. Next, attach electrical connectors and finish up by putting back the engine cover.
