  A: Starting the replacement of the Hood Cable requires you to lift the hood while providing support. Detach the cable from both the Hood Latch and from its retainer at the radiator support. For replacement push both cable and grommet through the engine compartment toward the cab before taking out the left side hinge pillar trim panel from the body. Start by removing the screws which secure the cable handle to the body before detaching the handle from the hinge pillar. The following step is eliminating the cable from the vehicle. The cable setup requires positioning at the vehicle before guiding it from the cabin through the engine compartment. Place the cable grommet at the dash front before securing the cable handle to its respective position on the hinge pillar through screws. Reattach the left side hinge pillar trim panel to the body before connecting the cable through its retainer installation on the radiator support and to the Hood Latch.
