Begin by removing the upper quarter panel applique before breaking loose the two tail lamp retaining nuts from the upper quarter panel. Start by disconnecting tail lamp sockets from the bulb holder then unscrew the bulbs counterclockwise. To install these components first attach bulbs to their sockets then connect the sockets back to the tail lamp. Two retaining nuts should be installed on the upper quarter panel before they are securely tightened to 5 n.m (44 lb in). As the final step install the upper quarter panel applique.
