The first step to change the Water Pump is to empty the cooling system until the Water Pump fluid sits lower than its top. Begin by unfastening Water Pump Pulley bolts to take off the Drive Belt. Unbolt and extract the Water Pump from its position using a sequence of pulley and pump bolt removal. Wipe off the surfaces where the Water Pump Gasket sits before starting the installation process. Before placing the Water Pump in position you should fit the gasket first. Install the Water Pump Pulley with its bolts by ensuring they reach 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) while doing so. Now position the Drive Belt over the pulleys before locking the Water Pump Pulley bolts at 25 nm of torque (18 inch lb. Settings). After installing the Drive Belt guard you must refill the cooling system.
